How the Driver Jaw and Anvil Work Together

These three components form the tool head on a blind rivet setting tool. The die is a separate piece used on impact and orbital rivet machines, not part of this assembly.

    Driver

    The nose piece that seats against the rivet head and holds it steady as the tool pulls.

    Jaw

    The gripping housing that clamps the mandrel and pulls it back through the rivet body to form the set.

    Anvil

    The base piece mounted below the jaw assembly that the mandrel is drawn against as the rivet sets.
